Intraepitelial Neoplasia Vulvar
Intraepitelial neoplasia vulvar is usually caused by human papillomavirus transmitted from a penile wart of a partner.
All stages of VIN are pre-cancerous. This type of condition usually takes years to develop into cancer, if left untreated it may go away or it may turn into cancer. Some symptoms of VIN are mild to severe itching and burning, or abnormal coloration of the vulva.

The condition is more common with fair skinned women. VIN is the presence of abnormal cells in the vulva skin, and can occur in several areas at the same time. It is not known if VIN is sexually transmitted but some forms are associated with sexual transmission.
